Wet Leg was recorded and produced primarily by Dan Carey of Speedy Wunderground in London, in April 2021, meaning they had an album completed before the world even heard the first single “Chaise Longue” or played in. direct. “I guess what happened was unconventional,” admits Hester. The next album is sad music for party people and party music for sad people. It’s cathartic and happy and punk and scuzzy and most of all, it’s fun.
