A new music festival is coming to Momentary this fall.
Momentary music and festival programmer Argeo Ascani told members and media on Tuesday that the performing arts venue will host an electronic music festival called Momentous in October 2022.
Details of the event, including dates and lineup will be announced at a later date, he said.
Ascani also said that The Momentary will be announcing a 7-8 show summer concert series and hinted that some of the artists on the roster once announced will be very exciting. These announcements will begin in the coming weeks, he said.
“I guarantee it’s going to blow your mind,” he said. “You’ll want to get those tickets early once they’re announced.”
The Momentary has already announced the return of their Fresh Grass Festival on May 20 and 21, featuring headliners like Emmylou Harris, Margo Price, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas and more.
On Tuesday, officials also hinted that a third music festival was in the works.
The Momentary will celebrate its two-year anniversary this weekend with live music as well. Grammy-nominated artist Arooj Aftab will perform in RØDE HOUSE at 8 p.m. on Friday, February 25, and Daedelus, Russel EL Butler and DJ Afrosia will perform in outer space on Saturday, February 26.
Other previously announced live music events scheduled at Momentary include Grouper on March 4 and Anna Meredith on April 2.
