Poorcastle Music Festival returns in 2022

COVID has thrown so many events into postponement hell, leaving many of us wondering what is coming back and what is being done for good.

Fortunately, the Poorcastle independent music festival – a small, multi-day event featuring some of the region’s top bands and artists – returns in 2022.

Poorcastle has just announced that it will return May 20-22 at Breslin Park, “with even more vendors and festival experiences partnering with dozens of local businesses as we continue to expand in the space. “.

If you are interested in playing or selling, the musicians and sellers submission forms will open on Wednesday December 1 through the Poorcastle website. Submissions will close on January 1, 2022.

The lineup will be announced on February 1, 2022, via a night out that has not yet been announced.

Poorcastle, which debuted in 2013, has long used the slogan ‘A festival for the rest of us’ and was started as a reaction to the larger Forecastle festival. It has long been proud of its cheap tickets and local programming.

It started as a one-day festival at Apocalypse Brew Works, but slowly evolved into several days, more bands and, in 2019, a new venue in Breslin Park, where it was held for just one year before the The event is not canceled for the next two.

We’re glad he’s back. Stay tuned for ticket information.
