MALIBU, CALIFORNIA, USA, October 18, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ — A legendary lineup of truly powerful and awesome darkwave/goth/industrial/punk rock bands is gearing up to rock LA on two nearly sold-out nights on October 21 and 22. It’s called Substance 2022 and is created by the team behind Restless Nites.

The show’s programming is led by the legendary Jesus and Mary Chain. Fans of The Jesus and Mary Chain may know that they generally avoid interviews and generally avoid even performing live. Legendary darkwave legends The Chameleons also conduct, along with experimental electronic pioneers Clock DVA. Powerful new artists round out nearly 40 other incredible sets, including Sextile, Youth Code, Kaelan Mikla, Parade Ground, Patriarchy, and Model/Actriz, among others. DJ sets will include those of Boy Harsher and Stephen Mallinder of Cabaret Voltaire. Bold performances by feminist-led bands, including Patriarchy and others, make for an indomitable spectacle.

Substance’s official pre-show kicks off with French dark-wave duo Minuit Machine at the Echoplex on October 18, with support from electronic bands Panterah, L and Cold Life DJs to spin dark dance music all the way up. at 2 a.m.
