Franklin County Adult Education Graduation a Community Achievement – Daily Bulldog

Last week, 20 students graduated from Franklin County Adult Education. The love and support from family and friends that night was incredible, but as we all know, it takes a whole village to raise a child. We are impressed with how other members of this community have stepped up to support these students.

Origin Manufacturing enabled a student to walk in and out of work and find a quiet space to take classes remotely to complete a credit course. They kept a valuable employee and we kept a student.

Pallet One gave a student time off to attend graduation. The glow on his face was worth all the effort it took to get him to and from the event.

Hannaford has included our students’ names on posters honoring recent graduates working for them. Often our students lack recognition, but these signs were fantastic.

We know other companies have adjusted shifts and staff to help students attend classes and take tests. We know these downsides don’t come easy, but we think the rewards are worth it.

A huge shoutout has to go to John Moore and the Narrow Gauge cinema. Anyway, John always helps us. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting for our ceremony.

Finally, we gratefully appreciate the support we receive from the citizens of Franklin County for our program. We know your contribution to our program is hard-earned. We couldn’t do it without you.

From all of us at Franklin County Adult Education: THANK YOU! You have had an impact on students beyond what you can imagine.
