Chromescape – Lara Gallagher/Kirkos | The Music Diary
“A blind succession of cause and effect or the timid and hesitant development of an idea” – A duration piece exploring organic, industrial and found sounds through metal sculptures.
On Friday May 20 and Saturday May 21, Unit 44 will come alive with metal sound sculptures and Kirkos artists. The public is invited into Unit 44 to explore the changing shapes and sounds, move through the space and stay as long as they wish.
Friday May 20: 5 p.m.-8 p.m.

Lara Gallagher is an Irish composer and sound artist with a wide range of interests including algorithmic composition, interactive multimedia installation art and performance art. More recently, his work explores improvisation, graphic scores and alternative notational styles. Lara strives to create work that opens up a kind of communication and interaction between the performing and listening bodies so that human connections and reactions can be explored. She has performed and shared her work in various venues and venues in London, Dublin and Berlin. After graduating in Music and Drama from Trinity College Dublin in April 2019, she undertook a Masters in Sound Studies at Berlin University of the Arts where she spent 2 years before returning to Dublin.
