Bon Iver Announces Spring 2022 U.S. Tour Dates

0

It’s been almost a decade since Bon Iver released his self-titled, Grammy-winning second album. To celebrate more than ten years of the group’s success, they are touring the United States in 2022.

The tour begins March 30 in Mesa, AZ, and ends June 25 in Asheville, NC. Throughout the spring, they will visit more than 20 cities and perform at iconic venues such as the Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville and the Moody Amphitheater in Austin, TX. Dijon and Bonny Light Horseman join them for the tour, the first opening act for the group in March and April and the last opening act for them in June.

The tour begins shortly after the release of Bon Iver, Bon Iver (10th anniversary edition), which will be released on March 25. This album will feature an embossed version of the original cover art as well as an essay by Phoebe Bridgers, who has long been a fan of the indie-folk band. In anticipation of the release, the group recently shared simplified versions of “Beth / Rest “and” Babies. According to a press release, the 2022 shows will feature the latest iteration of Bon Iver’s live band: Justin Vernon, Sean Carey, Jenn Wasner, Mike Lewis, Matt McCaughan and Andy Fitzpatrick. After nearly two years without performing together, they got together last weekend to two concerts at the Youtube Theater in LA.

Each date of the upcoming tour will highlight different charities, which is nothing new for Bon Iver. In September, they merchandising auctioned to support reproductive rights, and they even started their own campaign – 2 One billion – in an effort to end gender inequality.
