BOA Shows Happen This Weekend – October 8

The October competition season is off to a great start and the public can expect even more BOA excitement this weekend. Let’s take a look at the show’s offerings this weekend and find out who is competing where.

2022 Mid Atlantic Regional Championship

  • October 8 | Newark, DE
  • Start time: 7:45 a.m. ET

  • University of Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens Marching Band Special Exhibition Performance

The 2022 Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship will take place on October 8 at Delaware Stadium in Newark, DE. A cast of nearly thirty programs will take the field in competition, with the first group (Susquehannock High School) departing at 7:45 a.m. The preliminary competition will conclude at 4:15 p.m. and will be immediately followed by a special exhibition performance by the University of Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens Marching Band. The awards ceremony will begin at 4:30 p.m., when the programs that will advance to the finals will be announced. The first finalist group will leave at 7:00 p.m. and the final set will finish their performance at 10:00 p.m. The prize-giving for the Final will begin at 10:15 p.m.

2022 Dallas/Fort Worth Regional Championship

  • University of North Texas Green Brigade Marching Band Special Exhibition Performance

The 2022 Dallas/Forth Worth Regional Championship will take place on October 8 at Pennington Field in Bedford, TX. Twenty-four groups in total will take part in the preliminary competition starting at 8:15 a.m. and ending at 4:00 p.m. At the end of the preliminaries competition, there will be a special display by the University of North Texas Green Brigade Marching Band. The finalist groups will be announced during the awards ceremony at 4:15 p.m. and the final competition will resume at 7:30 p.m. The final finalist group will end their performance at 10:30 p.m. and the finals awards ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10:45 p.m.

2022 West Texas Regional Championship

  • Special Exhibition Performance by The Sound of West Texas Buffalo Marching Band of West Texas A&M University

The 2022 West Texas Regional Championship takes place Oct. 8 at Astound Broadband Stadium in Midland, TX. Nearly thirty groups will take to the field in the preliminaries, with Odessa High School kicking off at 7:30 a.m. The preliminary competition will then conclude at 4:15 p.m. and will be immediately followed by a special exhibition performance by the West Texas A&M University Buffalo Marching Band. The groups that will qualify for the final will be announced at 4:30 p.m. and competition will resume at 7:30 p.m. with the first finalist ensemble. The final group will leave the field at 10:30 p.m. and the final awards will begin at 10:45 p.m.
